'05 Mercedes-Benz SL

The 2005 Mercedes-Benz SL comes in four different models. The SL500 comes with a 5.0 liter V8 engine with three hundred and two horsepower. The SL55 AMG, a high performance model, has a 5.4 liter V8 with four hundred and ninety three horsepower, all supercharged.

The SL600 has a twin turbo 5.5 liter V12 engine, with the same horsepower as the as the SL55 AMG but more torque; finally, there is a limited SL65 AMG with a twin turbo 6.0 liter V12 engine with six hundred and four horsepower.

All 2005 Mercedes-Benz SL models come complete with anti-skid and traction controls, as well as ABC active suspension. Other standard features include anti lock brakes, side air bags designed to protect both the head and the torso, a driver’s knee air bag, a rollover bar, a navigation system, an assistance system, xenon head lamps, and heated seats. Options include Distronic cruise control, keyless entry and starting, and COMAND voice control for navigation, audio, and climate.

2005 Mercedes-Benz SL

As far as the exterior of the 2005 Mercedes-Benz SL goes, it has been universally compared to earlier generations of SL roadsters. It comes complete with Xenon high intensity headlights made of clear glassThey are intended to resemble the classic twin headlight theme displayed in earlier incarnations.

The 2005 SL also features a “smart” tilting mechanism, which is designed to make sure that the roof goes back into the upper section of the trunk.

The exterior of the 2005 SL has been compared to old time drag racers. One important difference is the use of aluminium parts in the modern version to help reduce car’s overall body weight to a minimum.

The inside of the 2005 Mercedes-Benz SL is no less impressive. In addition to continuing the aluminium accents, it also features leather and fine wood, as well as chrome matte surrounding the instrument and instrument panels located on the dashboard. There is also a “smart” cruise control available as an added amenity.
